The Prestige Group

Purpose built care homes, providing personalised care in a modern environment.

Prestige Lifestyle

A Prestige care Centre is not simply a place to live – they are places to be. Places to be involved, to be active, be fulfilled in later years. Places to feel part of and when the need arises, places to be expertly cared for and with.

At each and every centre our dedicated teams work tirelessly to ensure every resident feels comfortable, safe, secure, cared for and above all, respected and listened to in a homely and welcoming environment.

We believe that living at Prestige should be an extension of a fulfilled life, not the end of a chapter, but the beginning of a new one. We encourage residents to maintain all existing links with community, family and friends as well as exploring new links with other residents, local groups and to try new hobbies and activities aided by our partnership with the Oomph charity.

Being a family led provider, the group aims to spread that feeling of inclusion and belonging throughout its facilities and every member of the team dedicate themselves to fostering this sense of intimacy and acceptance.

Technology, Oomph and team know how

As part of our increasing offer at the Prestige care group we have added not only highly skilled and respected individuals to lead the care development, but we have gone into partnership with Oomph, the national lottery funded activity charity. Further we have introduced Dutch technology to reach hearts and minds sometimes assumed ‘lost’ and to facilitate multi-generational experiences with the new Auguste Communities and Auguste Community hubs.

Introducing the magic table – Tovertafel

Introducing Snoozelen – Sniff and dose or literally, explore and relax

Introducing Oomph wellness

Oomph is available across all our care centres, and all our specialised and Oomph trained well-bring coordinators are delighted to bring highly interactive activities and occupational programs to you or your loved ones at their individual locations. Well-being coordinators have their own development group supported by our operations manager Karen Cousins and the Oomph organisation, and we are constantly striving to bring what we term ‘activity lifestyle’ into the centres. Our aim is to have well-being coordinators in place seven days a week at all care centres by 2020

Tovertafel and snoozelen are currently in two of our centres with a third on its way by Feb 2019. Again, our aim is to provide at least one, but we are aiming for both technologies to be in all our Auguste Communities and hubs by 2020.

Team know how

All our senior team at Prestige care group are qualified nurses (RGN and RMNs) including the director of operations and care developments who is also a well-respected author and researcher in the field of dementia care (Research fellow, Green Templeton College, University of Oxford).

Many of our registered care centre managers are also nurses and where not, all have vast experiences in the industry and all have the required qualifications and experience necessary to become registered by the Care Quality Commission, the CQC

We promote a philosophy of succession planning with Prestige so that we are always looking to grow our next manager and senior managers from within our existing teams. We are a family owned business after all so you would expect we want to do best by our family members.

The Prestige Apprenticeship Academy

In 2019 we are partnering with TrainLtd to deliver a first class learning and development environment for all our employees. Every person new to care will undertake the care certificate and we have a rolling stream of development from this point onwards including NVQs and higher education undertakings

We are now looking to introduce more apprentices and we are assisting all our qualified nurses to maintain their registration by offering paid learning experiences towards their revalidation including direct paid access to the Royal Marsden manual of clinical practices online

To be outstanding we need an outstanding, dedicated and motivated workforce. The Academy is one way we, as an organisation, are aiming to deliver this workforce for you.
